Books in Development
Prominent Knoxville author and historian Jack Neely is creating an intimate narrative of the emergence of Knoxville as one of as America's most livable cities, where the continuing effort to forge a sustainable future for its citizens is earning national recognition among progressive communities.
This coffee-table style book will combine with television productions from WATE-TV to create an exciting community event of enduring significance. We believe that this is a watershed moment for Knoxville and have set a goal of positively enhancing the future of the metropolitan area with our efforts.
This book is endorsed by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, who will employ it in its marketing efforts and will make available a copy for each of its member firms.
This lavishly illustrated, full-color publication will be printed in a hard-bound, 9 x 12-inch format.
Additionally, between now and the spring of 2013, we will be
researching and chronicling the stories of participating companies and institutions in a manner that will tell their histories, celebrate their heroes and communicate a vision of their future in Knoxville.
